Permit C-81-013 was issued <br />by the Division on June 22,1994. <br />The Golden Eagle Nfine is located in Sections 20, 21, 28 & 29, T335, R67 W. A total of 59 acres of surface <br />disturbance from mining is covered by a Coal Reclamation Bond in the amount of $1,30,000. The <br />permittee is applying for and Division guidelines allow for the release of up to 60°~6 of the total band <br />amount in a Phase I Bond release. <br />The Golden Eagle Mine ceased production on December 3I, 1995. In accordance with the approved <br />reclamation plan and as required for phase one bond release, sealing of the mine shafts was completed by <br />May 1996; removal of surface facilities, Foundations and footers by November 1996; and rough and fmal <br />grading, returning the surface to approximate original contour, and establishment of drainage channels and <br />controls by January 1997. <br />Any written comments, objections or requests for a public hearing or informal conference regarding this <br />bond release application must be submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman Street <br />Room 2 f 5, Denver, Colorado 30203 by August 3Q 1997. <br />S' erely, <br />/,b.,,t,~,r~~ <br />Ronald G.
