Aggregate Source-112 Amendment
Final Adequacy Review, Permit No. M-77-193
A few comments on the Azurite, Inc. letter of July 31,1995
Concerning paragraph 1. This concept of a new road would
be the one thing that would make this situation somewhat
liveable. I have tried to contact someone at the Pu=blo
Community College (who apparently owns the property that
would allow this road to be built) and I can't find any
one that knows anything about Tezak Heavy Equipment being
in the negotiations that para(~1 leads us to beleive is
under way. Possibly this is miscommunication but I iaould
like to know more about is this other road really a reality
or just something to lead us to the wrong conclusions.
Also, nothing is addressing the situation that more
than just quarry work is going on across the road. E, new
business just bought the old block factory and in a hearing
admitted that they would be using toxic materials ir. their
operation. Also we have seen large truck go up late at night
and unload material that we beleive is later burned. All
of this, mind you, a stone's throw from the city water supply.
This seems to bring up basic questions about the safety of
the water supply.
I would appreciate hearing about these issues.
Yours truly,
Allan Armstrong & Brenda Halley ~~~"
C~~~ ~~ ~ ~
