Gorham's letter dated
October 27, 1995, concerning the removal of Safety Berm Ditches #1 and
#2 and Drop Structure #2. At the request of DMG the application number
has been changed from TR-16 to TR-15.
following:
Included with this transmittal are three copies of the
• TR-15 Application Form and Public Notice
• Summary of Revisions and Additions
• Revised Permit Text and Map 16A
Safety Berm Ditches #1 and #2 and the related Drop Structure
#2 were designed for road surface water run-off from the wide haul road.
By narrowing the road and changing it to "Light-Use" (MR-25) , these three
features will no longer be required.
Road Ditches #1 and #4 (existing) will remain in place. Road
Ditch #5 will be relocated at the toe of the fill-slope of the
reconstructed Light-Use Road. The ditches will be reconstructed and/or
maintained as per Rule 4.03.3(4) "Light-Use Roads - Drainage". It is
Kerr's intent to reclaim the portion of roadway that is revised by this
fall (1995), thereby further reducing disturbed ground acreage.
Map 16A - Mine Area Surface Water Hydrology has been revised
to show the correct Technical Revision number.
C:\WPDOCS\TA-35-R 1
