The Bjorke are the principal of the Big <br />Sky Ranch, LLC, the title Owners of a parcel within the Ranchae et Five Picas. The Bjork property ie is clone <br />proximity to the gravel pit operated by King Mountain Gravel, LLC ("King Mouutaia'~ that ij at lsue <br />is the above-referenced proceeding, The Sjork's wish to express their concerns to the Permit <br />Conversion Application, <br />If the proposed expeaaioa is approved. the value of their land and thou ueo and egjoymeat of it <br />will be adversely affected. The Colorado Division of Wildlife has stated that "There l as extremely <br />high probability that eigaiilcaat negative impeab will result to species of special concam, iMeIest, os <br />economic importance associated with those habitats found on the proposed site or those properties <br />adjacent to the proposed site" if the gravel pit is approved. The <br />land is used fbr recreational purposes, including hiking, heating and horseback riding. This land is in a <br />prime wildlife corridor. Hunting revenue supports much of the local economy.
