Princeton Mobile Home and RV. Park are asking that you denied the application fora "open
miaing and subsequent crushing and transportation of sand, gravel and quarry aggregate' permit by Hard Rock
Paving and Redi Mix Comparry for the following reasons.
l . There are approximately 180 full time Residence that live within a one block radius of the proposed
gravel pit. Most of these people are retired end or over the age of 55. Mast wuld not afford to
relocate if this permit is approved. Marry suffer from chronic breathing problems that would be greatly
aggravated from the dust and fumes created during the operation of this gravel pit and crusher..
2. Our water wells are 90 to 100 feet below the surface of the ground and our water comes from a large
aquifer. We feel the possibility of contamination from the operation of the gravel pit is tremendous.
3. Hard Rock Paving and Redi Mut, Inc have stated that the property is caned industrial . This is wrong
"1'hw nrn ~nnwt Rnnl Rr¢irlrntial urith a frnnrtfntM.rwt in cnwtinl nermit Thr nrnrwrty Atwc not trn~rh
icdusuiai zoned property, ail the surroumtog pAperty is zoned rural resideotiai. ,
4. There has been no activity for two years in the gravel pit and very little for ] 0 years before that.
5. The surrounding population has increased greatly in the last few years as have Buena Yista N General
as have the traffic on County Road 383 and Hwy 24. The addition of heavy equipment and Trucks to
these Roads would be a Safety hazard to the local Residence and the people using Hwy 24.
6. We feel that the highest and best use of this property would be to put in10 Home sites with a County
road through the middle of it.
We are owners and residence of the area and feel that the issue of this permit would great harm our business end
devalue our home.
N ~,
,~, ~S ~
Kenneth and verly
