Long <br />Division Oireaor <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 1 l6, <br />Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on August 11, 1997, an application to revise coal mining <br />operations at the Foidel Creek Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted <br />by Twenrymile Coal Co. All review and comment periods as provided in the Ac[ and the Regulations initiate from <br />this date of filing. <br />Revise location of 6 right gateroad and submains for the Eastern Mining District. Township 5 Notth, Range 86 West <br />of 6th P.M. SW 1/4; SW I/4 SE 1/4 of Section 28 and S 1/2 NE 1/4; SE 1/4 Section 29. <br />The underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately 23 miles southwest of Steamboat Springs, <br />Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />In portions of Sections 7, 8, 9, T4W, R86W; Sections 32 and 33, T6N, R86W; Sections 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 34, 35 <br />and 36 in TSn, R87W; and all of TSN, R86W with the exception of Sections 34, 35, and 36. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Rattlesnake Butte. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Routt County Courthouse, Box <br />773598, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477, and at the Division office. For additional information or to provide written <br />comments, contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. In order for us [o comply with regulatory time frames, we request that comments <br />be submitted within fifteen (15) days of this letter.
