Greeley West Pit, Permit No. M-77-081 - Financial Warranty
Increase
Dear Mr. Hickman and Mr. Lindsay:
On June 27, 1994 the Division received your letters dated June 27,
1994 concerning posting of the permit boundaries at the Greeley Pit
(35th Avenue) and recalculation of the reclamation bonds for both
the Greeley Pit and Greeley West Pit. The Division acknowledges
that permit boundary markers were erected at the Greeley Pit. In
addition, the Division has evaluated the recalculation of the
financial warranty amounts on both the Greeley Pit (M-77-036) and
the Greeley West Pit (M-77-081) and finds that the calculated
financial warranty increase is appropriate. For the Greeley Pit,
Permit No. M-77-036, you will need to submit an additional
$87,826.00 financial warranty to the Division to bring the total
financial warranty posted to $144,826.00. For the Greeley West
Pit, Permit No. M-77-081, you will need to submit an additional
$67,277.00 to the Division to bring the total financial warranty
posted to $78,727.00.
In accordance to Rule 4.2.1(2) of the Rules and Regulations of the
Mined Land Reclamation Board, and C.R.S. 34-32-117(4)(b) and (c) of
the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act, the operator shall have up
to sixty (60) days to post additional financial warranty from the
date of written notice from the Office of such insuffiency.
