Addition of 2.000 Gallon Tank for Foidel Creek Mine:
Permit C-82-056
Per our previous discussion, TCC wishes to place a 2,000 gallon diesel fuel tank adjacent to the
primary crusher building at Tipple 2. The tank will be placed within an appropriately sized clay
containment berm at the northeast corner of the primary crusher building, and will be partially
enclosed to provide a windbreak and prevent water from filling up the containment berm. The
enclosure will consist of two 4 inch I-Beams set into the ground, with a third I-Beam across the
top which will support a corrugated metal roofing. This roofing will tie into the existing crusher
building skin, as will the corrugated metal wall material along the north side of the tank. As
discussed, any change in bond would be negligible, and can be addressed during the upcoming
midterm review process. Page 2.05-13(b)(4) has been revised, and the SPCC plan for NPDES
Permit CO-0027154 will also be updated as required to reflect the necessary containment sizing.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely,
i,~,~~~
Marcus A.
