Dear Neil & Judy Sprague,
Enclosed, please find a copy of the party status request forn) from the Town of Lyons. The Town of
Lyons request that they be named as a party to the 1 12 Conversion process. In summary, the Town of
Lyons is concerned that by enlar;ing the existing quarry, drainage courses may be altered and a spring
may open up causing hardship ol) the Town.
As noted in the Divisions adequacy review letter dated April 30, 1999, the applicant will need to
address Rule 6.4.7 (Exhibit G- Water Information) of the Construction Material Rules and
Regulations. The Town of Lyons is concerned that the additional disturbance proposed for the
Sprague Red Lyons quarry might. increase the amount of surface run-off leading into the [own.
Please inform the Division if the proposed additional disturbance is expected to directly affect
the surface water system and whtlt measures will be taken to ensure surface waters are not
affected.
