developed. These will be reclaimed by benching and filling to
create final slopes of 1.5:1 to 1.75:1 for revegetation. Natural
rock slopes of 0.5:1 to 1:1 10 up to 20 feet high may be commonly
observed in the area. Portions of the tops of rock highwalls may
be laid back to irregular 1:1 slopes with heights up to 20 feet.
At the time of reclamation, the perimeters of inactive stockpiles
of minus 3/8 inch "fines" material will be graded to slopes of
2:1 and the flat top areas will be graded for positive
drainage. Following grading, the surfaces will be revegetated.
The total of moderate and major disturbed area at this time is
approximately 10 acres. It is anticipated the total area of
disturbance will not increase to the originally projected 12 acres
before all mining is phased out of the original area.
IV Reclamation of Haul Roads
The haul roads constructed along side hill slopes such as the one
from point (A) to point (B) will be reclaimed by pulling as much
of the fill and wheel berm portion on the section as possible back
up into the cut portion of the section. While the surface form
will not be completely restored to its original configuration, the
original drainage pattern will be reestablished. Following this
work, the surface will be reseeded.
V Reclamation of Sedimentation-Check Ponds
Reclamation of the sedimentation-check ponds will be accomplished
by filling the pond basins after vegetation has been established
on the other reclaimed areas. After the basins are filled, the
surface will be reseeded.
VI Seed Mixture for All Surface Revegetation
The following seed mix will be used for all surface revegetation:

VII Use of Land Following Reclamation
The proposed use of the area following reclamation will be
wildlife habitat. It is anticipated that the reclaimed area will
provide better wildlife habitat than now exists because the
introduced vegetation planted on the relatively flat final surface
should produce a larger quantity of available feed.
