Your request of a two-yeaz delay in the reclamation of this
pond is acceptable to the Kremmling Field Office of the BLM. In fact, a brief delay is welcome,
as this office feels that natural revegetation may have been effective enough so that only minimal
work may be needed to remove the dam and dike for this pond, with little other disturbance
required or desired. Our staff will field check this site during the summer of 2004. We will also
review the site for retention of the road and culvert in Bush Draw this summer.
We plan to report back to you and the State of Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
(CDMG) on our findings of the condition of natural revegetation and any reclamation work that
may be required at Pond G. The road status will also be addressed in this same report. This
response will likely occur after the 2004 field season.
Please contact Mr. John Morrone of this office at 970-870-6132 or 970-724-3015 with any
questions or for any clarification.
Sincerely,
ohn .
