Grazing on the sparsely vegetated dry gravel benches of the mining
area is slightly reduced by operations activity, however that grazing was heavily dominated
by domestic livestock grating anvwa}'. The region is host to deer and elk, and possibh•
some itinerant desert sheep large mammal species. Small mammal populations have been
extensively controlled for agricultural purposes. The usual small reptile regime of lizards
and snakes inhabit the dry cobbly slopes. Song birds and itinerant raptors frequent the
azea.
All wildlife frequenting the rrtirtirtg site shall be temporarily displaced to the ample similar
adjacent habitat until restoration of the site. There are no threatened nor endangered
species knowzt to exist at the site. I~figratory routes are not affected by the proposed
operations.
