As required by Rule 3.03.2(1) of the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Boazd for Coal Mining, we wish to notify you that Colorado Yampa Coal
Company (CYCC), 29515 Routt County Road #27, Oak Creek, Colorado 80467, intends
to submit a request for final bond release for 368 acres of the Mine 3 operation (Permit
84-062). The mine is approximately 15 miles southwest of Steamboat Springs, Colorado,
and the surface owners are Twentymile Coal Company and State of Colorado. The
location and the boundaries of the operation aze shown on the accompanying map, which
corresponds to the USGS Cow Creek 7.5 minute quadrangles.
CYCC is requesting final release of 368 acres of reclamation, which was completed
between 1976 and 1981. Requested amount of bond to be released is $200,000.00.
Written comments, objections, or requests for an infomtal conference should be
submitted to the State of Colorado, Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman
