<br />REVISED MINING PLAN <br />MURDOCK GRAVEL PIT <br />M-83-112 <br />KIOWA COUNTY <br />SEPTEMBER 29, 2000 <br />Mining operations shall be a simple removal process in a dry alluvial setting of moderate to <br />gently sloping surface topography. <br />Mining operations will begin along the North boundary of the permit area and proceed <br />Southerly, Easterly, and Westerly until the boundaries of the area have been reached. <br />Prior to expanding the mining operation into an undisturbed azea, all available topsoil in that azea <br />will be salvaged and stockpiled along the pit boundaries and segregated from any other <br />stockpiles to prevent contamination. If these topsoil stockpiles aze not employed in reclamation <br />within one growing season they will be seeded with a grass mixture consistent with the final <br />reclamation plan. <br />As conditions requve, the mined substance will be pushed into the pit by bulldozers or front end <br />loaders will remove materials directly from the pit walls. The sand and gravel will be wither <br />loaded directly on trucks for removal from the pit azea or stockpiled for future removal.
