(currant) N, Juniperus osteospermn Torr. <br />(Little Utah juniper)N, Populus tremuloides Michx. (Quaking aspen) N, and Populus L. <br />(Cottonwood) N-(please provide the specific species prior to use). <br />Specific species of willow needs to be provided to the Division prior to Division approval of <br />"willow" species. Specific willows are native and adapted to northwest Colorado, while others <br />are not and could become problematic. <br />Species proposed by the Colowyo Coa] Company, L. P. (Colowyo) but not approved by the Division <br />are: <br />Redcedar-verification of the USDA Plants database finds "redcedar" (Toonn Roemer) as present in <br />Mayland, Hawaii and Puerta Rico only. The database does not provide any indication that this <br />species would be adapted to northwest Colorado, nor is it a native species to Colorado. <br />Cnrngnnn nrboreseens Lam. (Siberian peashrub) is an introduced species. Colowyo has not <br />provided adequate data to show the Division why this introduced species meets the criteria of <br />4.15.2(3).
