On January 9, 2004, the Division of Minerals and Geology (Division) received additional information
from Bowie Resources Limited (BRL) regarding the two Succession of Operator applications for the
Bowie No. 1 Mine and for the Bowie No. 2 Mine. BRL's submittal contained an Assignment
Agreement between Appalachian Fuels, LLC and the Bowie Acquisition Group LLC. However, no
documentation was submitted that establishes the connection between the Bowie Acquisition Group
LLC and Bowie Resources LLC.
According to the BRL submittal, the Bowie Acquisition Group LLC has or will change its name to
Bowie Resources LLC. When verification of this name change has been obtained by BRL, please
forwazd it to the Division. This information is needed before the Division can continue its review of
the two Succession of Operator applications.
