The revision includes submittal of MSHA approved plans for
breaching seals and routing water within the mine, and calculation of mine volumes for
storing the anticipated mine dewatering flows.
EFCI has discussed with MSHA its plans to breach seals and change ventilation to facilitate a
closed-loop dewatering system. EFCI will submit revised plans to MSHA to breach seals
pending their decision on previously submitted ventilation plans for the same azea of the
mine. Calculations of mine volumes for water storage aze nearly complete incorporating data
from the current Annual Hydrology Report. Given the time required to secure MSHA
approval of ventilation plans and make appropriate changes to permit text, and for the
Division to review the information, EFCI respectfully requests an extension of the date for
decision on TR-19 to September 30, 1994.
Please contact me if you have any questions or require additional information concerning this
request.
Sincerely,
Energy Fuels Coal, Inc.
Allen S.
