2 •
issue in some detail with Mr. Jim Green, Compliance Archaeologist at the Colorado
Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation. Mr. Green is in agreement with the
opinion that these sites will not be affected by controlled subsidence. Thus, our
recommendation is that these sites would not need to be evaluated for National Register
eligibility since there will be no effect."
On a separate issue, attached please find the narrative (pages 2.05-65.2 and 65.3) and
exhibit discussing the proposed NMD Power Borehole Access Road culvert sizing
(Exhibit 8.5). The SAE demonstration for the site is presented in Exhibit 8.6, SAE
Demonstration, NMD Power Borehole. This information can be inserted into the
appropriate part of the permit.
Finally, I have attached a revised table of revisions and also a table listing the revised
materials accompanying this letter. I believe this will eliminate any confusion arising
over the submittal of these supplemental materials.
If there are further questions, please contact me at your convenience.
Sincerelys
/'~~sa2ti/O ~~
Richard Mills
Environmental Manager
Attachments
Cc: Routt County Clerk and Recorder
Office of Surface Mining
Bureau of Land Management
File: I;~en\environmental\revision\permitrev\pt9905\adequacyresponse 12apri IOO.doc
