Dudash,Joe
From: Gorham, Kent
Sent: Friday, May 30, 2003 3:00 PM
To: Dudash,Joe
Subject: RE: Bowie No. 2 Bruce Park Dam Study
I reviewed Norfleets letter. His main concern seems to be how seismicity could impact a landslide and the
subsequent impact to the dam/reservoir. My concerns were focused more on the validity of the implied
seismicity and the lack of site specific seismic information. My original concerns still stand.
-----Original Message-----
From: Dudash, Jce
Sent: Friday, May 23, 2003 1:05 PM
To: Brown, Sandy; Gorham, Kent; Walker, Byron
Cc: Hernandez, Dan
Subject: Bowie No. 2 Bruce Park Dam Study
Jim Norfleet of the Colorado Division of Water Resources out of Montrose will be e-mailing a draft
letter to me either today, May 23, or Tuesday, May 27. Sandy, Kent and Byron will be copied on
Jim Norfleet's a-mail. The draft letter concerns his review of the most recent geotechnical report
for the Bruce Park Dam study (TR-22). He would like us to review the draft letter and see if there
are any problems or discrepancies that we can identify before he sends the letter to the operator.
I will be in the field Tuesday, May 27 and will be back Friday morning, May 30. I would appreciate
it if you could read his draft letter and provide comments to me by Friday, May 30, if possible.
As a note, I have not sent out the Division's adequacy review letter yet.
Thanks for your assistance!
