Dear Party and/or interested Person:
The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) has
received an objection to the Amendment application for the
Sokol Pit Sand and Gravel Mine. Rule 1.4.9(2)(c) requires
that the Division issue a Letter of Recommendation to the
Board by no later than November 14tti 2005. The Letter of
Rational shall be mailed out on or before October 21st 2005
to meet the requirements of the Rule for a minimum of 3
working days prior to the Pre-Hearing conference. A party
may by verbal or written request to the Office receive a
copy of the Letter of Rational be faxed on the date of
issue.
A Pre-hearing Confereace has bees scheduled to occur oa
October 26 2005, beginning at 11:OOa.m. at 1313 Sherman
Street, ROOM 215, Deaver, Colorado 80203.
Mr. Dan Hernandez will preside as Pre-Hearing Conference
Officer. The purpose of the Pre-hearing Conference is to
describe the Office's review process, to explain the rights
and responsibilities of parties, to discuss and resolve
issues to the extent possible, to describe the Board
Hearing processes, to detriment the list of issues under
the Board's jurisdiction and to simplify the list, and to
determine who has demonstrated standing to be party to the
Formal Public Hearing.
