The revision was <br />submitted by Basin Resources, [nc.. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations <br />initiate from this date of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to change the post-mining land use to Industrial for limited areas where wells, boreholes, <br />and ventilation shafts have penetrated the sealed mine workings. This will allow methane gas production to be <br />developed by [he owner of the natural gas estate. <br />The underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately 25 miles west of Trinidad, Colorado. <br />The mine permit area is located in all or portions of Sections IS-22, and Sections 27-34 of T33S, R67W and <br />Sections 3 and 4 of T34S, R67W. The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute <br />Quadrangle map of Vigil. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Las Animas County <br />Courthouse, 200 E. First St., Rm 104, Trinidad, CO 81082, and at the Division office. For additional <br />information or [o provide written comments, contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Roam 215, <br />1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. In order for us to comply with regulatory time <br />frames, we request that comments be submitted within fifteen (15) days of this letter.
