Long <br />Division Dneclor <br />Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, the Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on <br />November 15, 1993, an application to revise a permit to conduct coal mining <br />operations at the King Coal Mine, File No. C-81-035 (PR-04), by National King <br />Coal, 4424 County Road 120, Hesperus, Colorado 81326, was deemed complete for <br />the purposes of filing. All reviews and comment periods as provided in the <br />Act and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to add 240 acres to the permit area and to revise <br />numerous permit application pages. <br />The King Coal Mine is located seven miles southwest of Hesperus, Colorado, in <br />portions of Sections 31 and 32, Township 35 North, Range 1 West of the <br />N.M.P.M. These tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of <br />Kline and Hesperus. <br />A copy of the permit revision application is available for public inspection <br />at the La Plata County Courthouse, 1060 East Second Avenue, Durango, <br />Colorado. Written comments, objections or requests for an informal conference <br />on the permit revision application may be submitted to, and additional <br />information obtained from, the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, <br />1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567.
