The pit is located west of the La <br />Salle Road intersection with US Highway 50. Montrose County has reviewed and <br />approved United Companies' application for a Special Use Perlnit for this site (SU-99- <br />1154 Amended). Access Permit AP213001 has been issued by Montrose County for this <br />new access road. <br />One of the requirements necessary to file for an Amendment to a Reclamation Permit is <br />that United Companies must notify the landowners, adjoining landowners and easement <br />holders of our amendment application. The "Notice Of Filing Application" form attached <br />constitutes this required notification. <br />Also required by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation $oazd is proof that the <br />required notification of the landowners, adjoining landowners and easement holders was <br />performed. Please sign and date each of the two copies of this letter. United Companies <br />will use one of these signed Letters as proof of service of this notification.
