was," If you give me the larger one I will see that your report goes we1L" We thought
he was kidding. IIe then pulled out a very nice nugget from his pocket, saying he was
given this by the owner/operator at a Fairplay mining projects by the way that piece of
gold was shaped like a Teddy Bear. If you have seen it now you know where it came
from and how he got it Jim looked into his eyes and sand " We are not going down that
road now or ever."
" We will take what ever report you want to do." He didn't leave a report and we never
recieved one from his inspection. We have always wondered if he made one out or what
it may have saki. Mr. Humphi~es, how would yon feel?
The problems we have had with your agency, when we tell the stories to people and
friends, stand with their mouths open with disbelief. The Fmma Load Mine, this was a
serious enough problem that you went after our $5,000.00 Letter of Credit with an
Indiana bank plus a $3,000.00 fine and not to speak of scarring the HFT,T, out of us,
All after the project had set dormat for 15 yeaas! But not serious enough for the people
doing the inspection, did they feel they needed to step more than two steps from their
vehicle to make the judgement call and release the "so called complaint." We still have
nightmares thinking the financial stress this would have put on our lives at our age.
My husband is still suffering from the effects Again....Mr. Humphries, how would
your feel?
Mr. Humphries, as you know we were inspected in Setpember, 2004 and found we had a
few yards of tailings outside our boundries and we had disturbed .8 of an acre more
than our 2.8 acres allows according to Ericia Now we are being asked to amend our
permit at a cost of $875.00, plus take a large amount of our precious time. We feel this
is not right We didn't recieve what we paid for the first tame.
We will do a very limited amendment I am sending a 2.8 acre map of our first permit
and a map of the .8 of an acre showing the area that we violated our permits making it a
total area of 3.6 acres. Ericia was vague where we were out of our boundries exactly.
Our effected area is already inside a predistrubed 20 acres. Also enclosing both map
sites showing the 3.6 acres plus an additiona15.4 acres giving a total of 9 acros.
We have no plans to mine these additional acres. Our wncern is to be able to do the
reclamiation on the already distrubed area from previous mining companies such as Al-
Right Mining. Also to fill the request of Mineral and Geology in doing some type of an
amendment.
We have no plans of paying more permit fees and increasing any performancy warranty
on any thing more than was already done in our first permit application We will
continue to pay the annual assessment fee.
When the snow melts, making it possible we will set new post showing the 9 acres
boundries. If this is not agreeable we can correspond on this in the weeks ahead and try
and find an already stressed soluation.
I have told you these problems we have had with Mineral and Geology and what you do
with the information is up to you. We are not trying to embarress anybody. We don't
want to cause anybody trouble.
Sincerely,
