Binns : C)IVISIdfl di nAintltaia a ~tluie~Y <br />In my June 12, 1996 letter to you, regarding TR30 to the Seneca II <br />Mine Permit C-80-005, I stated Seneca would be submitting the final <br />reclamation plan to you by July 8th. We then asked for an extension <br />of the decision deadline to July 19th. I regret to say that we have <br />been unable to complete this work because of other revisions that <br />have been submitted to the Division for Seneca II-W and Yoast <br />during the past few weeks. In addition, Roy Karo substituted as the <br />pit foreman for the past two weeks during mine vacation and has <br />been supervising several contractors doing miscellaneous field work <br />for us. These projects include fence construction around the Yoast <br />permit boundary and outlining our contractor who will be <br />constructing all of the new stockponds, repairing the existing <br />stockponds which require maintenance, and all of the associated <br />maintenance based on the 1996 Rill & Gully Survey for Seneca II and <br />II-W. <br />Seneca will provide this information to the Division by July 29th <br />and would request an extension of the decision deadline to August <br />12th. As Roy Karo and I have expressed during your inspection <br />visits the past few months the reclamation work to be accomplished <br />this year with regard to this revision and the final reclamation <br />plan will not begin until later this fall. We will address all <br />maintenance items and complete the Yoast activities before hauling <br />any topsoil at Seneca II.
