Dept. of ~'atura! F?esc_~rces
Pursuant to our telephone conversation on April 17, 1978, I am
writing this letter for the record to confirm that Castle Concrete
Company has no objection to having its two applications, Castle
Sand Plant and Castle Sand Pit, continued from the April 26-27,
1978, meeting to the May 24-25, 1978, meeting in Denver, Colorado.
I understand that this continuation is desired because of the
personal tragedies that have recently affected James L. Schmieding,
the Reclamation Specialist of our applications. Since Mr.
Schmieding is intimately acquainted both on a personal observation
and review basis of the information pertaining to those two appli-
cations, we would feel that his presence would be of a material
assistance to the Soard in case the board members have any questions.
We f@ei that we have complied with all informational requests, that
the applications are in order and that recommendations for approval
will be made, but we have no objection in light of the circumstances
for this continuance.
we do not anticipate at this time personally to appear in Denver
if the applications are called as matters of formality. Please
advise us if Castle's presence is required.
For your information, the requests for further information that we
received in March on the three quarry applications are presently
~eing reviewed by our engineers and we will submit that information
men it is available. An additional prehearing conference is re-
que~ted after you receive and review that material.
