Sc. Are projected Soil losses acceptable to SCS criteria?
If all the sites are being compared using the Splitro Soil
which has a T value (Tolerance Level) of 1 Ton/Acre then the
answer is no. If sites are compared to the Buckskin Soil
which has a T value of 5 Tons/Acre, then yes the projected
soil losses meet SCS criteria.
I see a need to possibly change the baseline soil data to Buckskin
because of the K factor is .32 or .37 and that the T value is 5
Tons/Acre. My soils map show that Native Pasture Reference Area is in
a Buckskin soil.
The enclosed Soils-5 for the Buckskin & Splitro soils are the best
vertification I can provide.
I hope this review has been helpful to you. If you have any further
questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
i ~i' ~l
,~t~, ' l ~ ~_~%
Patrick R Davey
District Conservationist
