Mr. Randall P. Price
April 29, 1994
Page Two
The crossing will have across-sectional area equal to or greater than Ditch B-2 with low-gradient
approaches on either side of the flow channel. Upstream and downstream sideslopes will be
graded to provide a smooth transition between the crossing azea and ditch channel. Since design
flow velocities are below the threshold level requiring riprap, the sole purpose of riprap
placement in the crossing area will be to prevent rutting and similar erosion damage. Kerr will
place minimum three inch Dso riprap material in the crossing area and for a reasonable distance
on either side to minimize erosion.
Accompanying this transmittal are relevant revised design calculations, a modified ditch design
summary sheet, and a completed application form for permit revision. Please feel free to
contact me with any questions regarding this transmittal or the revised ditch designs. Given that
the subject ditches are a component of the final reclaimed configuration and the current status
of the partial bond release application, your assistance and coopers[ion in expediting review of
this revision application is appreciated.
Best regards,
TerraMarrix Inc.
~~
Jerry
JMN:cmc
cc: G. Patterson/Kerr
