February 18, 2000 <br />_ Page Three <br />In contusion, we would like to refer the reader to Chapter 1, Section 1.7.3, Community Efforts, <br />in this Final EIS. The North Fork Coal Working Group (NFCWG) is a community based group <br />representing a broad spectrum of interests in the North Fork Valley. The NFCWG has worked <br />to address issues related to growth and coal mining in the valley and to-develop a vision for the <br />community's future. Their review and comments on the Draft EIS have been helpful to the <br />agenaes in the preparation of this document. The work of this group is expected to continue <br />into the future. The public is encouraged to contact the NFCWG for current, speafic <br />information related to their efforts. <br />Further infom~ation on the North Fork Coal Final EIS can be obtained by contacting Jerry Jones <br />at the,BLM Uncompahgre Field Office, 2465 S.
