PUBLIC NOTICE
Energy Fuels Coal Inc. (EFCI), P.O. Box 449, 1190 County Road 92, Florence, Colorado 81226, has filed an
application for revision of approved mining and reclamation plans for the Southfield Mine. The approved Office
of Mined Land Reclamation (OMLR) permit, Permit No. C-81-014, addresses existing underground coal mining
and related surface operations and reclamation activities. The proposed revision, Technical Revision No. 15 (TR-
IS), addresses permit revisions developed in response to concerns identified by OMLR in the mid-term permit
review.
Areas to be effected by the proposed plan revision are located in Fremont County. The Southfield Mine area is
located approximately seven miles south of Florence, Colorado, on County Road 92. The mine area is bounded
on the south and west by the base of the Wet Mountains, and Newlin Creek bisects the mine azea from southwest
to northeast. The Southfield loadout azea is located approximately one mile west of Florence, Colorado, on Cotmty
Road I lA and the Santa Fe Railroad spur line. The loadout area is bounded on the north by Chandler Creek, and
on the south by Oak Creek.
