En"g <br />Divas wn Director <br />Re: Eastside Mine (Permit No. C-84-063) <br />Technical Revision No. 11 (Portal Sealing/Underground Waste Disposal) <br />Dear Mr. Simpson: <br />Pursuant to Title 34, Article 33, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, the <br />Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on February 21, <br />1995, a technical revision application for a permit to conduct coal mining <br />operations by Eastside Coal Company, Inc., P.O. Box 161, Silt, CO 81652, was <br />deemed complete for the purposes of filing. All reviews and comment periods <br />as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from <br />this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to revise underground coal mining operations at the <br />Eastside Mine. The technical revision addresses revised portal seal design <br />and the disposal of waste material underground.. <br />The Eastside Mine permit area is located in Section 24, Township 5 South, <br />Range 92 West of the 6th P.M., and is shown on the USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />map of Silt, Colorado. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public <br />inspection at the Garfield County Courthouse, 109 8th Street, Suite 200, <br />Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
