The Lone Pine development waste pile was graded into amildly-sloped hillock adjacent to
the topsoil pile site. The same situation exists with the sediment control as at the topsoil pile
site. There is no evidence of erosion, no off-site transport of sediment, and the vegetative
cover appears adequate. A quantitative analysis, such as the one provided in the bond
release application, should be incorporated into the permit as a demonstration that the site
can be effectively managed as an SAE with the vegetation on the site.
In summary, all structures have been removed as required by the permit, the Lone Pine
portal has been sealed, backfilled and regarded. The regrading of all portions of the site
was satisfactory. Demonstrations for each area justifying their management as SAEs in their
current configuration, are necessary before a final decision can be made.
