Long <br />Division DireUOr <br />Re: Phase III (final) bond release inspection at Mine 1 and the Eckman Park Mine near Oak <br />Creek, Colorado (Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology Permit C-81-071) <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology has scheduled a bond release inspection at Mine 1 and the Eckman <br />Park Mine. The Division received a bond release application from [he mine operator, Colorado Yampa <br />Coal Company, on October 17, 2001, and found the application complete on October 22, 2001. <br />Time and date of the inspection: 8:30 a.m., Friday, November 2, 2001. <br />Location of the inspection: Mine 1 and Eckman Park Mine, 8 miles nonhwest of Oak Creek, <br />Colorado. <br />From Oak Creek, follow Routt County Rd. 27 to [he mine entrance (Twentymile Coal Co. office) <br />From Hayden, Colorado, go 6 miles east of [own on U.S. Highway 40 to Routt County Rd. 27. <br />Turn south on Rd. 27, then go approximately 20 miles to the Twentymile Coal Co. office <br />Purpose of the inspection: To verify that a 2,338.5-acre tract of land on Mine 1 and the Eckman Park <br />Mine meets the regulatory requirements for Phase III bond release (final bond release). The <br />amount of the bond release request is $1,563,445. <br />Why you received this notice: <br />The Division of Minerals Geology sends [his notice to give you the opportunity to participate in <br />the inspection.
