The TR is required to change the approved Mining Plan Phasing
in the original permit. Elam Construction and the permit holders Thomas and Ginger
Latham wish to change the phasing to better suit operations for an up coming highway
project and future use.
Staff is aleased to inform Elam that TR-01 is aaaroved. The overall re-phasing will reduce
the initial disturbance area from 13 acres to 10.8 for Phase 1 and the Processing Area.
Mining methods and reclamation requirements were not addressed. The recent bond
recalculation of 323,311.00 is still considered adequate to accomplish reclamation. If the
Bond increase has not been submitted, please do so before any disturbance at the site
commences.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Minerals and
Geology, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado
81501, telephone no. 970.241.1 1 17.
Sincerely,
-~l~~cWluf ~~d~~
G.
