LOng
Division Director
I have reviewed the SEDCAD calculations submitted for sediment
control at the cross-cut grout pad along County Road #33. These
calculations use reasonable assumptions and appear accurate.
It should be noted that both the check dam and the grass filter are
needed to treat the runoff to meet applicable effluent limitations.
I spoke to Tavis today and mentioned that to him. He said that
they would use additional measures such as silt fence if the
effluent appeared something worse than what the model predicted.
Just as a reminder, they have a section of the permit which lists
the SAE areas by name. This section should also be updated to
include this new SAE.
With regard to the materials I reviewed for this revision, I have
no further concerns and this revision can be approved without
condition.
If you have further questions, let me know.
