slope edge of the stockpile. An area approximately 80' X 80' will also be hand-cleared of
vegetation for the helicopter landing and staging.
The drilling slurry (mud) will be contained temporary, portable tanks, so no mud pits will
be excavated at the site. Upon completion of the drilling the material in the tanks will be
spread over the disturbed pad site, allowed to dry, and then covered with topsoil. The site
will then be seeded and brush scattered over the area.
A bond estimate for the reclamation of exploration site 97-15-1 is attached. This amount
should be added to MCC's total reclamation liability amount currently under consideration
by the Division for self-bonding.
MCC plans to begin construction of this site by August Ol, 1997, so your prompt
attention to this application would be appreciated. MCC would welcome your telephone
calls and/or faxed letters with any questions or comments that you may have on this or any
other application to avoid the delays sometimes associated with mailed correspondence.
Sincerely,
~ ~~~~
Christin~hnston,
Permitting Specialist
cc: Wendell Koontz
Phil Schmidt
Kathy Welt
