Man- Mine Permit Renewal Application -Responses January 12, 2005
Ken• has initiated the process to develop the necessary easements or other access controls to
allow two roads to remain as permanent roads following reclamation. These roads include 2,250
feet of light use road in the Pond G area and approximately 900 feet of the access road that
connects the mine entrance road to County Road 12E. Kerr has discussed the situation with both
the DMG as well as Mr. John Morrone of the BLM, who is amendable to providing long-term
access across public land via these roadways. Correspondence to this end will be provided to
DMG when it is provided by the BLM.
4. Review of previous revision, midterm reviews and permit renewal communications
indicate that several issues regarding ponds were to be resolved in 2005.....P/ease update pond
informafion by providing a schedule for the reclamation of these ponds or submit an application
for retention of Pond F if that is desired....
Kerr recently submitted MR-42 (Dec. 30, 2005) requesting the status of Pond F be changed to
permanent. Assuming that request is approved by the Division, only Ponds C and G would be in-
line for reclamation. Kerr is planning to complete the earthworks portion of the reclamation
activities for these ponds prior to the end of summer 2007 but will make every attempt to have the
field work completed in 2006.
Please contact the undersigned or George Patterson (719-784-6395) with questions or comments
regarding this submittal or associated activities in support of this submittal.
Sincerely,
NWCC, INC.

Robert J.
