The approval
required Twentymile Coal Company to submit applicable revised pages
and maps by March 11, 1994, which deadline was extended due to a
death in my family. The attached revised materials reflect the
changes to the permit that were approved in the field, except that
a collection ditch was not inscribed downslope of the disturbance.
The disturbance associated with constructing the filter is
approximately 0.06 acres and after describing the limited amount of
disturbance to you it was decided that inscribing a ditch below the
site would not be required. The site lies just downslope of the
ditch leading to Pond F. This minimizes the amount of overland
flow to the site. Additionally, drainage from the site would pass
through the rock filter adjacent to Pond F and would pass through
the existing vegetative filter before passing through the rock
filter. The secondary sediment control should adequately control
runoff from the site.
I did not include a bond calculation for the reclamation work that
is to be completed this spring as it only requires redistribution
of topsoil and seeding of an area that is approximately 40' x 70'.
Twentymile is anticipating completing the topsoiling in the next
few weeks, field conditions allowing. As you can see the bond
associated with this activity would be minimal, and given the fact
that Twentymile is overbonded it does not put the State at risk.
c~rpRUs
