Hoyl met with Randall <br />Price of MLRD and Earl Madden representing American Shield Coal Company at the mine <br />site or entry benches of the Anchor Tresner Coal Unit north of Fruita, Colorado, in the <br />Book Cliffs Coal Field. <br />The purpose of the meeting was to inspect the reclamation work done on behalf of <br />American Shield Coal Company and its predecessors and partners by Greg Lewicki and <br />Earl Madden as required by MLRD. <br />The record should show that we, the present owners and lessees, had little input in <br />the reclamation plan and our needs and plans for the project were not considered. <br />As to the reclamation as completed, we strongly urge that the transition section of <br />road to the Upper Cameo bench be widened and improved. As it now exists, it is dangerous <br />and hazardous and not acceptable to the owners and lessees. <br />It is also desired that the southern boundary fence which is on fee land owned by <br />Hoyls be removed. <br />In addition, the monitoring wells on the federal leases are to be rehabilitated. <br />Sincere) , <br />,; <br />Al ed G.
