Site Type: Rangeland <br />MLRA: 69 -Upper Arkansas Valley Rolling Plains <br />Sandy <br />R069XY026CO <br />• Range seeding followed with prescribed grazing can be used to convert Go-back Land to Seeded <br />Rangeland. <br />Seeded Rangeland <br />This plant community can vary considerable depending on how eroded the soil was, the species <br />seeded, the stand that was established, how long ago the stand was established and the <br />management of the stand since establishment. Prescribed grazing that allows adequate recovery <br />periods following each grazing event will help maintain this plant community and eventually move it <br />towards the HCPC. <br />Transitions or pathways leading to other plant communities are as follows: <br />• Continuous grazing without adequate recovery periods following each grazing event will move this <br />plant community to the Threeawn, Annuals, Bare Ground Plant Community or to a plant <br />community resembling Go-back Land. <br />Technical Guide USDA NRCS <br />Section IIE 11 Rev. 3/04 <br />
