Box 449, Florence, Colorado 61226, was deemed complete for the <br />purposes of filing. All reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act <br />and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to continue conducting underground coal mining <br />operations at the Southfield Mine. The permit area is divided into two <br />parts: the Southfield Mine area and the Railroad Loadout area. The mine area <br />is located seven miles south of Florence, Colorado, and the loadout area is <br />located approximately one mile west of Florence, Colorado, in the following <br />sections: <br />Southfield Mine Area: <br />Township 20 South, Range 69 West <br />Sections 19, 30, and 31 <br />Township 20 South, Range 70 West <br />Sections 23, 24, 25, and 26 <br />Railroad Loadout Area: <br />Township 19 South, Range 69 West <br />Sections 17 and 18 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />maps of Rockvale (mine area) and Canon City (loadout area). <br />A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Fremont <br />County Courthouse, 615 Macon Avenue, Room B-6, Canon City, Colorado.
