• <br />`' ~ December 1986 6 863-2052 <br />addition, previous wells located in the vicinity of the proposed <br />excess spoil areas were monitored (Table 2). <br />2.3 Reconnaissance of the Toe Area <br />A field reconnaissance of the proposed excess spoil placement <br />areas was made by Golder and the YVCC site geologist with the <br />purpose of observing and mapping any geologic features which <br />could adversely affect stability of the excess spoil. In par- <br />ticular, the reconnaissance involved mapping of features such as <br />seeps, springs, and any historic or current landslide areas. <br />Additionally, aerial photos of the Little Middle Creek tract were <br />examined by the site geologist.
