Cattany <br />Division Direcor <br />m Resource Trustee <br />Re: Chieftain South Mine, Technical Revision Approval, Permit No. M-1981-148, Revision No.'- <br />Deaz Mr. Meyers, Jr.: <br />On January 12, 2004 the Division of Minerals and Geology approved the Technical Revision application submitted <br />to the Division on December 12, 2003, addressing the following: <br />Change the sequence of mining and increase the maximum allowable disturbance within the approved affected <br />area from 51.69 acres to 98.50 acres, <br />The terms of the Technical Revision No. 1 approved by the Division are hereby incorporated into Permit No. M- <br />1981-148. All other conditions and requirements of Permit No. M-1981-148 remain in full force and effect. <br />The estimated liability amount for the Chieftain South Mine is presently $99,000.00. The liability amount <br />associated with this revision is $216,000.00. Therefore the new reclamation bond amount is $315,000.00. If you <br />have not already done so, please submit a rider to the current bond in the amount of $216,000.00 or a replacement <br />bond in the amount of $315,000.00.
