WATER INFORMATION
Exhibit G
LITTLE JOHNSON AMENDMENT
Water Information
Project water requirements: There is no change in the project water requirements. Most of the
water used in this operation is for washing sand and that use will not increase as a result of this
amendment.
Affected land water impacts: Obviously, there will be some impact on the water resources in the
affected land. However, those impacts will be 'very minor. The ground water will not be exposed in
the mining, otherwise the remediation program would be affected. Also, if ground water is exposed,
this would release some of the chemicals that are being treated into the air.
The following documents provide considerable background information on the remediation
program. This information quite clearly indicates that whatever occurs on this land is very much
controlled by the needs of the remediation program. Adverse impacts on that program are not to occur
and this plan takes full account of the importance of the remediation program.
Daniels Sand Pit #2 -Little Johnson Amendment - M-1973-007 Exhibit G Page 1
