Pursuant to the requirement of the Colorado Mined Reclamation Act•
to inform counties and certain municipalities of Development and Extraction
(i.e. mining) Permit applications filed with this office, please know that
Homestake A9ining Company has filed an
application for a Permit to permit amendment to enlarge their permited
mining operation,
at the following Iega1 description: Sections 35 and 36, T42[J, R1W,
and Sections 1 and 2, T41N, R1tJ, N.[J.P.T1.
The applicant proposes to reclaim the site for sand and gravel .The
deadline for persons to file statements regarding this operation, or to
petition for a hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board to consider
the granting of a Permit is set by law; for information please call this
office.
Prior to Board approval the applicant's proposed mining and reclamation
plans must be in conformance with Local zoning ordinances, subdivision
regulations, or master plan. Pursuant to Sections 39-32-109(6) and
34-32-115 (e) of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act, C.R.S. 34-32-I 01
et sect., please inform the Mined Land Reclamation Division as to the status
of the above captioned site with regard to conformance with your local
zoning laws. The attached sheet is provided so~that you might answer us in
a convenient, quick manner.

use.
AZ.~o, the applicant is required to place a copy of the application for public
inspection with the Clerk of the county in which the proposed mine is situated.
It is the Board's understanding that the Act intends for the application to
be made available For public review and comment in an area close to the mine;
it is not intended that it be made a part of public record by recording.
The Board is tentatively scheduled to consider this application on August
25-26. 1982
