NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division has issued a proposed decision to <br />approve a technical revision to the mining and reclamation plans for the West <br />Elk Mine, Permit No. C-80-007, operated by Mountain Coal Company, under the <br />provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. The <br />proposed technical revision (TR-62) was submitted by Mountain Coal Company on <br />May 13, 1992 for the West Elk Mine. The affected area is located in portions <br />of Section 9, T 13 N, R 90 W, 6th P.M. in Gunnison County. <br />The subject technical revision (incidental boundary change) proposes the <br />removal of approximately 0.2 acres from the currently approved permit boundary. <br />Copies of the proposed technical revision are available for review at the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division office, 1313 Sherman Street, <br />Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203. Any person who has an interest which is or <br />may be adverszly affected may request a formal hearing regarding this proposed <br />decision. Requests for a formal hearing must be made in writing within ten <br />(10) days of this publication and shall state with reasonable specificity the <br />reasons for the request and objections to the proposed decision. <br />
