•I
road acc~ass is 7.36 acres. Some undisturbed areas in
pit number one were taken out of this survey because
it was heavily wooded and material in the surrounding
area was not a good quality road surfacing material.
3) Sloping On Pit Number Two. Southwest Properties will
be able ~to achieve 3 to 1 slope on all areas except
the south border of pit number two, Because of the
location of Wommer Ditch (a major irrigation canal) we
would like to maintain a slope of 2 to 1 on that
particular gravel pit boundary. We would not be able
to achieve a 3 to 1 slope without overtaking the ditch.
I would .Like to request a technical revision of our
permit a:Llowing us to maintain a 2 to 1 slope on the
south boundary of pit number 2.
4) Acreage Exchange Outside of Permitted Area. The
original permitted area for pit number one was 3.75
acres. ;~.s mentioned above, .74 of an acre was deleted
from this survey that was not disturbed because of trees
and poor quality material. Please refer to map number
2, pit number one the area drawn out in red which is the
area deleted from this survey and has not been disturbed.
I would :Like to exchange this acreage, which amounts to
.74 acre:a for the area outlined in black in pit number
two, which would equal .38 acres. This would bring our
total permitted area to 7.74 acres as outlined in our
permit. I would like to ask for a technical revision
in swaping this acreage from pit number one to pit
number two because of better availability of material.
Also, please find a copy of our bond on the gravel pits increased
from $2,000.00 to $5,000.00.
I hope the board :Finds it feasible to grant the technical
revisions as requested.
If I can be of any further assistance to you, please do not
hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
SO~WEST PROPERTIES, INC.
/l`////~ //~//I
David Wolfswinkel
Assistant Vice President
DW:nh
Encl.
