<br />3, 1989, an amendment to its
<br />regular (112) mining permit at the
<br />Snydet Query, Permit Number M-
<br />77-210, under provisions of the
<br />Colorado Mined Reclamation Act,
<br />C.R.S. §34-32-101, et. seq. and the
<br />Rules promulgated thereunder.
<br />The Snyder Quarry of Castle
<br />Concrete Company is located off
<br />Colorado Highway 24 near 31st
<br />Street in El Paso County, Colorado,
<br />near Manitou Sptings and is also
<br />known as the Black Canyon Quarry
<br />or Manitou Quarry. The
<br />amendment is included in:
<br />The W l/2 of the NE I/4 of the
<br />NW 1/4 of Section 32, Township
<br />13 South, Range 67 Wes4 of the
<br />6th P.M., EI Peso County,
<br />Colorado. The amendment .area
<br />contains n total of 9.0 saes, and
<br />will be an extractive area. The
<br />amendment is necessary to add
<br />about 9.0 acres of land to the
<br />mining permit in order to
<br />implement new phasing for the
<br />entire operation, both (or mining
<br />and reclamation.
<br />Operations m the amendment azea
<br />will commence upon receipt of
<br />necessary approvals. The exact date
<br />of completion of all mining and
<br />reclamation at the Snyder Quarry, is
<br />unknown and could very
<br />considerably. The current estimated
<br />completion year of the Snyder
<br />Quazry is 2023, or sooner or later,
<br />dependent upon product demand,
<br />muting economics and production
<br />capablilites. The current proposed
<br />future use of the mining site is
<br />forest wildlife habitat. The actual
<br />future use may differ from the
<br />proposed use based on conditions
<br />existing upon completion.
