• Maps and Cross Sections <br />• Maps bcc-1356 Sheet 1 through bcc-136I was updated in 1999 from aerial photol;raphs <br />flown in November 1998. These maps aze at a scale of I"= 200 feet, with a contour <br />interval of 5 feet. <br />One set of maps (Exhibit A) has been prepared upon this base. The maps show ttie <br />existing permit boundary, and the existing (10/1/92) limit of bonding. The maps also <br />divides the quarry into operational areas, with mining and reclamation information for <br />each area. A set of cross sections (Exhibit B) applies to the maps in exhibit A, wl»ch <br />reference the Long Term Mining Plan, Final Grading and Reclantation Plan. The cross <br />sections are East to West on north map gridlines and are referenced to full width or azea <br />as indicated by the letter (i.e. - N l O1,800 A = A band). <br />The Maps also show the following: <br />• Immediately adjacent surface owners are shown on the Permit Boundaries Ma.p. <br />• Creeks -The only creek in the quarry azea crosses the hogback from west to east <br />(map bcc-1360) between coordinates El 19,500 and N120,000. The water source and <br />flow is primarily seepage from the Monroe Gravity Canal carrying irrigation water in <br />season. A pipe was installed at this point to prevent water loss into the quarry cuts <br />north and south of the creek. <br />• • Irrigation Ditches -The Water Supply and Storage Company Larimer County Canal <br />flows northward, east of the cement plant, The Windsor Reservoir and Canal <br />Company Flood Ditch crosses the hogback and then flows northward at a higher <br />elevation. T'he Monroe Gravity Canal controlled by the North Poudre Irrigati~~n <br />Company is shown on map bcc-1361. <br />• Roads - Lazimer County Road 56E borders the south end of the affected area. There <br />are no oil or gas wells or pipelines. <br />• Buildings -All buildings shown are the property of Holnam Inc. <br />Power Lines - An REA power line crosses the A-Band quarry at the Flood Ditch <br />crossing (map sheets 3 and 4), and proceeds north on Holnam property east of~the <br />Flood Ditch. A Platte River Power Authority power line runs north and south on the <br />west side of, and parallel to, the A-Band overburden piles. All other power lines <br />within the designated affected lands are the property of Holnam. <br />• Communication Lines - A buried telephone line runs along the east side of County <br />Road 21 C. <br />• Topography is shown on the maps by 5-foot contour interval lines, as well as <br />• numerous spot elevations. <br />
