Geotechnical Data Report Bruce Park Dam <br /> Bowie Resources, Limited <br />• Apri12001 <br />During development of this program, Bowie Resources identified a need for additional <br />storage capacity in Bruce Park Reservoir. The scope of work was modified to include a <br />geotechnical field investigation, a data report and aconceptual-level design and cost opinion <br />for raising the embankment 3 to 6 feet. <br />The Soil Conservation Service constructed the original Bruce Park Dam in 1940 with a <br />structural height of 41 feet. Bruce Pazk Dam was raised to a reported structural height of 58 <br />feet between 1950 and 1952. At the same time an auxiliary or Saddle Dam was constructed <br />on the opposite end of the reservoir to a reported structural height of 28 feet. Bruce Pazk <br />Dam was re-classified by the Office of the State Engineer (SEO) from a Class III (low <br />hazard) dam to a Class I (high hazazd) dam on December 4, 1990. <br />1.4 Authorization <br />GEI performed the work described in this Data Report in accordance with our Proposal dated <br />November 10, 2000, as authorized by Mr. William Bear, Jr. <br />7.5 Project Personnel <br />The following personnel from GEI aze responsible for the work summarized herein: <br />Project Manager Robert J.
